Hello

My name is Dora Marbl. I am a graphic designer and illustrator based in Amsterdam. I have a huge passion for creativity, always striving to come up with mind-blowing ideas and visuals that preferably reset your overall expectations

My gateway into the creative industry was drawing, starting with pen and paper when I was 2 years old, creating my first masterpiece of a pretty good looking duck. Then at the age of 8, I got access to the treasured gem, Microsoft Paint, which unlocked the digital design world to me. In my early teens, I leveled up to Photoshop, and have been breathing it ever since, together with the rest of the Adobe Suite. In other words, I didn’t choose creativity—creativity chose me c”,) Intro Projects

Hello again

So long story medium – After completing my bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication in 2015, I worked in a publishing agency for about three years, but then I decided try something new and bigger, so I joined a giant software company for another three years. Then I decided to leave Norway for even newer opportunities in Amsterdam, where I joined a fresh Creative Agency.

As a designer, I specialize in a wide range of tasks, including profile branding, packaging, campaigns, banners, presentation templates, album cover art, illustrations, event invitations and other digital and printed material. Also, I have this wildly skilled understanding for color theory, to the point where it might be unhealthy, but for your project it’s nothing but beneficial! So, if you need any design help or have any questions, feel free to reach out, and I will happily assist you :)

My work is often inspired by contemporary art and design, where I strive to create designs that are simple, yet visually striking and memorable, while also being functional and easy to understand – so basically the universal checklist for all designers. I’m a big fan of blending clean minimalism with unexpected and bold bursts of colors and elements because to be fair, if we're all shouting to be heard, we might as well make it a vibe. My goal is initially to turn the ordinary into something that pauses the scroll, not just fills the screen.
